COVID-19 GUIDELINES

The Georgia Peach Festival has put preventive measures in place due to the spread of COVID-19. However, attending an event could increase your risk of contracting the coronavirus. By entering the premises/areas, you voluntarily assume all risk and agree that you will not hold the Georgia Peach Festival, City of Fort Valley, City of Byron, Peach County, and all associates liable for any resulting illness or injury.

Under Georgia law, there is no liability for an injury or death of an individual entering these premises/areas. If such injury or death results from the inherent risks of contracting COVID-19, you are assuming this risk by entering these premises/areas.

 

What You Can Expect from the Georgia Peach Festival Team

  • We will comply with all applicable federal, state and local regulations, requirements and orders as they relate to mass gatherings. This includes the latest Governor’s Executive Order for the State of Georgia
  • Increased cleaning frequency with special attention to high-touch areas
  • Exhibitor booths will put tent side walls up to allow for social distancing from neighboring booths when necessary
  • Seating will be strategically placed to allow for social distancing.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the event
  • Volunteers will have temperature checks prior to the event
  • Volunteers and exhibitors will not be allowed if sick
  • Volunteers and exhibitors are strongly encouraged to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Volunteers and exhibitors will maintain good hygiene, including washing hands frequently
  • Practicing social distancing guidelines
  • Portable toilets will be sanitized often and closed during when being sanitized

What We Ask of Our Guests

  • All attendees must comply with all applicable federal, state and local
  • regulations, requirements and orders as they relate to mass gatherings, including the latest Governor’s Executive Order for the State of Georgia
  • Give other guests their space and do not congregate. Always avoid close contact with others by standing or sitting at least 6 feet apart
  • The Georgia Peach Festival strongly encourages guests to wear masks within the festival premises/areas. Review the current State of Georgia Executive Order for recommendations for wearing face masks
  • Frequently wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before and after eating, etc.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
  • Stay at home if you are sick, running a temperature, having any sign or symptoms of illness, loss of taste or smell, etc.
  • Stay at home if you have pre-existing health conditions or if you fall into the State of Georgia’s high-risk category for COVID-19. We will miss you but care about your safety.
  • Stay at home if you came in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last two weeks
  • Practice good personal hygiene habits
  • Visit the CDC’s website for the latest COVID-19 information and best prevention protocols.
